1817, First Edition. London : Walker & Edwards. Good small-format copy in contemporary half leather over orange marbled boards, now somewhat scuffed. Spine gilt-tooled; front joint split, with headband lacking somewhat. Corners bumped, with wear to the panel edges. Text block remains strong and clean on the whole, showing only the expected faint foxing and offsetting of age. Despite its faults, a well-preserved example overall. Item #475471
