Front hinge cracked, with cloth joints holding secure; rear joint split, with remaining spine cover pivoting on the front and lacking at the tail, but hinge remaining sound. Front free endpaper loose with half-title and frontispiece; the core text block is strong and tight, with preliminary and final leaves shaken. Text block free from foxing, with margins gently age-tanned. Flammarion publisher's label to t.p. covering the firm originally printed (E. Dentu?). A very serviceable example overall. Item #467843
