1731, Fourth Edition. Paris : Chez Sebastien Mabre-Cramoisy. Poor 12mo copies, both in the original full leather over boards, with bindings remaining strong. The boards are heavily dust-dulled and somewhat abraded on the surface, showing wear and minor loss to the corners; vol. 3 shows some surface loss along the rear joint. Spines with raised bands, heavily worn to the surfaces and endbands, with leather labels mostly lacking. Preliminary and final leaves somewhat dust-dulled. Vol. 3 shows damp damage to front endpapers and prelims, with a faint stain throughout the text to the upper portion (text remains legible and sound throughout). Text blocks otherwise show only expected faint foxing and offsetting, and remain particularly tight for their age. A very serviceable set overall. Item #466755
