1877, Early Reprint. London : Chapman & Hall. Good copy only in the original gilt and black decorated red cloth boards, now lightly scuffed. Corners, endbands and joints rubbed, with the latter torn at the rear. Front hinge broken, with spine cover detached from text block and pivoting on the rear; internal binding remains secure. Text remains clean on the whole, showing only faint foxing and dust, chiefly marginal. A very serviceable example overall. Provenance: Bookplate of Bernard Berenson. Item #466220
