Item #463868 [Five eighteenth century plays, printed in Dublin and bound in one volume]. Colley Cibber, William Mason, John Dryden, Nicholas Rowe, Voltaire.

[Five eighteenth century plays, printed in Dublin and bound in one volume]

1735, First Dublin Edition. Dublin : M. Rhames ; George Faulkner ; Theo. Jones ; James Dalton ; T. Moore. Very good sammelband, in contemporary leather boards, rebacked in later gilt-blocked leather. Boards somewhat scuffed and lightly edgeworn. The Double Gallant lacks its title page, as originally bound. The binding is cracked between Elfrida and Don Sebastian, with both sides remaining very secure. Marginal tear to the lower corner of the final leaf, with text unaffected. The text block remains strong overall, showing only the scattered, faint dust-dulling, foxing, and offsetting expected of age. A well-preserved example overall. Item #463868
