Physical description; 50 leaves : 199 mounted photographs, 7 loose photographs, 1 plan ; 23 x 26 cm. Notes; Date is conjectural. Plan divided into IV [4] x 40 sections. Most photographs are captioned in manuscript, referencing grid coordinates or the camera's point of view. Contents; A comprehensive photographic survey of the Peterborough Cathedral nave ceiling, almost certainly created in preparation for the major conservation project which took place in the late 1990s and early 2000s. The photographic documentation of the "spider" (a mobile elevated work platform) indicates that the survey involved direct, close-up access to the ceiling, which is suspended 25 meters above the nave floor. The survey appears to predate the fire of 2001. Subjects; Peterborough Cathedral. Nave ceiling — Photographs. Peterborough Cathedral — Conservation and restoration — 20th century.
