Externally well-preserved, with panel edges and joints slightly rubbed and dust-dulled. Text is abraded with some loss at the lower fore-edge corner (burned?) from front free endpaper through p. vi, and then marginally from pp. v - xxiii. Folding map facing title page similarly damaged, and with a tear to one of its panels. Text otherwise very good, with folded maps remaining crisp.
