1852, First Edition. London : William Pickering. Very good copies all in full gilt-blocked, green aniline calf boards with inner gilt dentelles, and all edges gilt. Faintly scuffed covers, slightly rubbed along the board edges. Spines somewhat more worn, with minor cracks at joint ends; bottom two compartments lifting on v.1 and top compartment pivoting on rear joint. Marble endpapers; contemporary owner's autograph to flyleaves. Tight, bright and clean internally, with surprisingly sharp corners. A remarkably well-preserved and complete set. Item #456017
