The works of Moliere. Volume the first
1751, First Edition. Glasgow : Printed by Robert Urie, and sold by John Gilmour, Bookseller in the Salt-Mercat. Poor copy in the original leather binding. The leather is torn and separating at the front panel's fore-edge and joint, with some loss from the backstrip. The front board (which bears a circular stain) is separated from the spine but remains attached by the sewing. The preliminary and final pages are somewhat dust-dulled, creased, and edgeworn, however the main text block remains quite strong, with clean pages and a tight binding. A very serviceable copy overall. Item #453889
