Spine bands and panel edges rubbed with age. Lacking the title page and list of plates; otherwise complete. Frontispiece is loose at the foot; folding map is intact though slightly torn along the creases. Edges are dust-toned with faint marginal foxing throughout; the binding remains tight through the core text, with plates retaining tissue guards. The rear hinge has been repaired with new endpapers.
