Hints on the nature and management of Duns / by the Honourable -, a younger son. With illustrations, by R.J. Hamerton

1845, First Edition. London, T. C. Newby. Original cloth. Lithographed frontispiece and numerous drawings in the text. One of those _______ rifts on everyday problems that seem to have been so loved by Victorians. A "dun" is a request from a creditor (usually tradesman, mortgage-holder, landlord) for payment of a debt. Thus this book is a windier fare-manner of all those tedious "my check is in the mail" compilations. Very good copy in the original gilt-blocked cloth. Slight suggestion only of dust-dulling to the spine bands and panel edges. Remains particularly well-preserved overall; tight, bright, clean and strong. Item #379956
