Remains particularly and surprisingly well-preserved; tight, bright, clean and especially sharp-cornered. Initial in corner 'G.S' (George Seaver). From George Seaver’s own library through the Zozimus (Wyse Jackson) sale 2021. Geroge Seaver was an English biographer and polar enthusiast. In 1946, Seaver was appointed bishop's vicar of Kilkenny Cathedral in Ireland, but even after his retirement his interest in polar affairs and writing biographies remained until his death in 1976.
