The book has been rebacked with a slightly later, contrasting spine. Decorative outer gilt borders to front and rear panels.Spine and panel edges somewhat dulled and rubbed as with age. All edges marbled. Inner gilt dentils. Marbled endpapers. Taped repairs to endpapers. Some light foxing/dust-toning to the title and prelims - scattered elsewhere. Previous owner's signature on blank prelim. leaf, with a faded signature on the title page. Remains particularly well-preserved overall.
