1790, Eighth Edition. London : printed for A. Strahan, and T. Cadell; and W. Creech, at Edinburgh. Very good copies bound in full contemporary polished tree-lined calf. Decorative gilt tooling to spine with gilt-blocked leather labels. Single line gilt border to front and rear panels. Spine bands and panel edges somewhat dulled and rubbed as with age. Marbled endpapers. Internally, pages are particularly clean considering the age of the volumes. Previous owner's inscription, dated 1790, to ffep. Remains quite well-preserved overall.
